Another Canada Day camping trip has come and gone and as usual the evidence is being made public. A lack of booming sunshine kept us out of the river, but rest assured that didn't keep the Jack out of us!

Just woke up after a fabulous night of drunken debauchery including field hockey, dancing, karaoke, jammin' with PastMidnight, and smokin' & drinkin' (JD of course) to the fine hour of 7 a.m.
Not really sure what happened to 2005, but I guess it's time to start getting used to drawing a '6' instead of a '5' on those large cheques written to the Jack Daniels factory.
Here's wishing you and yours a happy, healthy, prosperous 2006, and may your drink never run dry of Jack Daniels.

Canada Day 2005!

Another Canada Day has come and gone and as such the world is down another several hundred ounces of Jack Daniels, a few hundred bottles of Canadian and dozen of pounds of good food cooked to perfection over an open fire.
This year we decided to mix things up and switched campsites. We gave up the luxurious beauty of Jackfish Swamp and moved on to faster moving pastures... Namely the beautiful Mclead River. The new site had an enclosed cookshack with a fireplace... in case of rain. A huge firepit with lots of wood to burn... in case of night. A big field to play random drunken sports on... in case of sunshine. And to top it all off... we brought 12 26oz bottles of Jack Daniels along to ensure we would never go thirsty.
We ate like kings, climbed mountains, mauled each other for 125 points, burned wood by the truckload, almost spelunked, and best of all... sipped on frosty Jacks from sippy cups the size of a small house all while forgetting we live in the big city...
Twas bliss.
Oh yah... Akro got a flat.

So drunk in fact that he just woke up today. He would love to apologize for his last news article in person but he is just waaaay too hung over to even try to use the computer... in fact he is lying in the garage drooling into a puddle of oil and cat urine as I type this...
Don't worry, he's on a Jack IV.
He'll be fine.

The last thing we want you to think is that we are judging you. Nothing could be further from the truth. We're not here to judge you.
If you like to drink Old Milwaulkee, Rye, Vodka, Bourban, Scotch, some girly flavor of schnapps, Rum, Oozo, or whatever, that's YOUR problem. If you don't drink Molson Canadian, or Jack Daniels, we won't think too much less of you, but you might want to consult someone about your (apparently obvious) issues.
If you're not fond of Titties and Beer, or Ass and JD, we may not be able to forgive you, but we can be understanding enough to let you know that you should seek professional help.

After hours and hours and days and days and weeks and weeks and months and months and even years of serious and even more serious research we have come to one very important and possibly earth shattering and maybe even universe altering epiphany...

Our 2nd Annual Canada Day Party camping out at Jackfish Lake west of Rocky Mountain House was a blithering success of drunkeness and debauchery.
We introduced Jack to Jack (JD to Jackfish Lake) and one of us inadvertantly renamed ourself to JackJackJack when the Jack-to-blood ratio overwhelmed most all rational thought processes.
Other delights included Yukaflux "fruit shooters", vodka, Seagram's White, sourpuss and beer; we devoured steak, corn-on-cob, spudz, garlic-injected bree, pancakes, french toast, egg-mcnuffinz, hash-browns, beef-jerky, fruit pullaparts, cheesy poofs, veggies 'n dip, perked coffee with extra crunchy ground-chunks, and choco-milk.
Activities included drinking, getting drunk, eating, bloating, boating, fishing, volleyball, badminton, FArt (Fire Art), axe-throwing, slithering through mud, painting toiletbowls, falling down, getting up, and doing much the same every day thereafter.
We went, we came, we laughed and barfed; we soaked up the sun and got soaked by the rain; we spiked our hair and tried to shear a Yeti...

Final thoughts:
